In early May our daughter called and said that she and her husband were going to look at two open houses in Sebastopol and did we, her Mom and Dad, want to tag along. Sure we said! We looked at the first house and they were convinced that it was the right house for them. >) And they ultimately bought that house Then we drove to house number 2. We walked in and my heart skipped a beat. It was perfect- for us! It was the right size, had a studio add-on for income potential, etc. We had not listed our home in Berkeley and were just tagging along with our kids for a Sunday outing. But still…could we pull it off? I talked to the listing agent and learned that she was accepting offers in two days! We didn’t have a local realtor and hadn’t even put our Berkeley house up for sale. She referred us to Dan and I am so grateful that she did! I called Dan on Monday and within a few hours we were well on our way to making a winning offer for the home in Sebastopol. In fact, I didn’t meet Dan until our move-in day. I had only been in the house during the OPEN HOUSE and so was both excited and nervous to see what it was we had bought!
